▶ MOONBLESSINGS
All Prismals and playable characters have a moonblessing, which are blessings designated by the whim of the moons upon player arrival, but OOCly of your choosing.
WHAT MOONBLESSINGS DO ▶ Moonblessings give you an affinity to the moon of your choice. This means your transformations under that particular moon are significantly more prominent.
In addition, when characters who are Moonblessed by a particular moon visit that moon, they will feel a strong connection to it. An Iris Moonblessed character, for example, will feel more in tune with their surroundings when they are on the Iris moon.
The moonblessings carry with them mental and physical effects, from personality changes and growing furry ears to tentacles and scales to full-on transformations, all of which occur when their particular lunar cycle is in effect. In other words, all moonblessings are only active during their corresponding lunar cycle.
LUNAR CYCLES ▶ Each lunar cycle is in effect for a maximum of five days with the same, recurring pattern:

GUIDELINES
COMPATIBILITY ▶ You can either choose a blessing that fits your character or choose something completely different if you want to try out something new with them. The moons are fickle like that.
CUSTOMIZATION ▶ You can mix and match characteristics within the same moonblessing. Animal characteristics can also vary as much as you wish. The physical and psychological transformations are by no means mandatory but highly encouraged.
How your character's moonblessing affects them is entirely up to you. You can choose to fully embrace the characteristics or have them affect your character in very minor ways. Turn your character into a wolf! Be a rabbit with tentacles! Give them glowing tentacles for hair!
There's no need to ask us how you can customize them as long as the traits don't end up crossing over other moonblessings. Examples:
SIZE ▶ All moonblessing transformations must remain no larger than a standard double-decker bus in all size dimensions.
LUNAR CYCLE EFFECTS ▶ The intensity and variation of effects each and every month are entirely up to you. For example, you may choose to run through the whole gamut of effects in January and then opt out in February. The effects might even fluctuate during your moon's lunar cycle, giving your character drastic personality changes in one thread and none in the next. Play with it to suit your mood. We want to grant players the freedom to rest and go all out whenever they like!
RESTRICTIONS ▶ No fantasy equivalent of the animals or fantasy traits related to them. Please stick to real-world animals and realistic features. Extinct animals are okay, as long as they are real animals or were real at one point, they are allowed.
INTERPRETATION ▶ We leave it to the player to interpret to what extent they would like to implement each trait. We will not be providing further traits, as we encourage players to get creative with how they personalize their characters' experience.
With regards to Cordis, for example, the player may interpret amorous as anything ranging from "seeks out lots of sex" to simply "makes awkward attempts at flirting". Similarly, self-indulgent can be taken as "seeks gratification of sexual urges they never knew they had" or "wants to eat entire tubs of ice cream". The term moonlace as much as they can can also easily be taken as "have sex as much as they can".
Just as smut isn't mandatory to the game, the sexual traits aren't either. You may choose to opt out of moonblessing features that involves sex.
OPT OUTS ▶ Players may OOCly opt out of any effects of their Moonblessing, including up to having their character be completely unaffected. There are currently no IC methods to completely eliminate the effects of the Moonblessings. Moonblessings are revered rather than reviled in Prismatica, so long-term protection from the moon cycles is unavailable to the public.
Although there are no readily accessible methods to permanently prevent the effects of the Moonblessings ICly, temporary solutions may ICly come up in specific events.
SWITCHING ▶ These moonblessings are by no means permanent but uses up a vast amount of Chroma upon switching. You may switch every 3-4 months if you want to play around with other moonblessings. All we ask is that you notify the mods of the change on the Taken page once the Chroma has been gathered and 'released' so to speak.
This is not an IC choice since happens at the whim of the moons, so please exercise discretion and don't change your character's blessing every month.

SAME FAMILY ▶ You may select particular animal traits if they are within the specified same family or order under the appropriate moonblessing. For example, if your character is Iris, they may have deer antlers or moose antlers as they both fall under the family Cervidae.

CUSTOMIZATION ▶ All exalted moonblessings follow the same guidelines as regular moonblessings.
Physical changes, temperament, traits, and powers can be shared between creatures within the same moonblessing designation. For example, a Sanguis Moonblessed can have dragon wings and wolf ears.
As always, you can only possess one moonblessing. For example, you are not allowed to be a mix of dragon (Sanguis) and nine-tailed fox (Cordis).
DRAGON ▶ Appearance shifts will include either full dragon transformation or a humanoid with draconic horns, scales, tails, and/or wings. They may have multiple horns or be hornless. Their horns may be on the side of their heads or their forehead.
Their scales shine with prismatic hues and may either be on selected parts of their skin or be completely covered with them. Their skin ranges from soft-scaled to hard-scaled. External organs such as ears and genitalia may also be affected by scales locally. Humanoids may experience an increase in physical height (12ft or less). They have sensitive hearing and are capable to pick up racing pulses and heartbeats or any signs of life.
Their charming voices have the magical power of suggestion. By speaking or singing, their voice can influence or coerce others into doing their bidding. They can even command plants to grow better or faster! Useful for haggling for lower prices or getting someone to hang out with you. The more willing the listener is the better its effects.
Chroma made from moonlacing with dragons will not regenerate any limbs lost in canon. It will only heal illnesses and injuries on the character's body. As always, players who wish to keep their canon illnesses and injuries may render this method of healing ineffective to their characters. As a reminder, there are many advanced medical technologies available in Prismatica, so these methods are also available alternatives.
NINE-TAILED FOX ▶ They possess stunning golden eyes and ghastly skin. Those under the effect will potentially cause their hair to turn white, their nails razor-sharp, and their canines to grow into fangs. They may even earn red or gold markings akin to those of Amegahara fox masks on their face, arms, and/or back.
They may be a fox with fur of any color, usually white, towering over any regular fox. They may also appear more humanoid with vulpine features, such as ears and tails. They commonly have white tails that are tipped with red fur at the ends. They can have any number of tails, but the more Chroma one has, the more tails they can manifest. They can have a maximum of nine tails.
They are known for their beauty, which leads most foxkin to become actors, models, and courtesans. They dislike heavy clothing and love beautiful, light outfits. They have a very shameless and exhibitionist attitude when it comes to intimacy, as they enjoy being watched and desired.
KRAKEN ▶ Those affected may have their skin, lips, and/or nails turn bluish-purple. Their eyes may also earn a prismatic hue. Should they have tentacles, they won’t need water to move around, but they may find ease in the ocean. They will also be able to jet over water surfaces and within bodies of water with or without tentacles. However, they do not have water-aspected magic.
Their transformations may range from suction pads on their hands and feet, tentacles either alongside or in place of their limbs and/or hair, to a fully transformed kraken or a similarly large soft-bodied cephalopod. Soft-bodied cephalopods include octopus, squid or cuttlefish. No nautiluses. King Shiryn Lyei Draestellus XIII of Lyestellus bequeathed the draconic moonblessing. The guardian Vulpus who communes through Lord Bairen of Amegahara has bequeathed the vulpine moonblessing. The Fallen Queen Tempeste of Vierge has bequeathed the molluscan moonblessing as an admission of defeat.

LORE
The three moons were believed to have been gods who held separate domains, overseeing the planet, Prismatica. Each god chose the beasts that would be its bearers, and the beasts swore to uphold their precepts.
Sanguis adored beasts that were swift and showed no fear. He picked the wolf for its hunting prowess, the koi for its command of the eddies of water, and the snake for its craftiness. These animals adored the smell of blood and did not shy from combat, defending Sanguis and his domain with their physical and mental might. His domain was rock-covered and stained red from bloodshed.
Cordis found her domain and took those who were in it as her beasts. After she had gained dominion, three beasts made their offerings to her. The fox appeared to her with an offering of berries gathered from the brambles. The owl appeared to her with an offering of feathers gathered from the tops of trees. The cat appeared to her with an offering of gems found with its keen eyes from the ground. Her domain is the ensconced forest where the wind whispers through the trees.
Iris brought together the beasts who were one with the land; who appreciated the realm which they lived in. They gathered the rabbit for its gentleness, the jellyfish for its free-willed nature, and the deer for its temperance. Their domain welcomed all, and it was bountiful with fruit and greenery, covered in wide, open fields that shimmer in the light's reflection.
One day, a great rupturing occurred. The balance between all three gods was disrupted and the beasts who were once at home in their domains found themselves upheaved to the domains of other gods.
And so they began their journey to return to their rightful domains, yet to return there, they would have to pass through foreign lands and pay tribute to gods they bore no loyalty to for safe passage.
