PRISMATICA
▷top

PLANET ▶ Prismatica

SUN ▶ Solaria (yellow, but sometimes shines with colors of the rainbow)

MOONS ▶ Sanguis (red), Cordis (blue), Iris (purple)

SEASONS ▶ Cordis (January to April) is chilly, windy and snowy; Sanguis (May to August) is warm, humid and bright; Iris (September to December) is temperate, cloudy and thundery

MONTHS ▶ Named by number. January is called "the First month", February is called "the Second month", etc. The months have names in the old Lunatian language, but no one can pronounce them.

ITEMS, SHOPS, ETC. ▶ Anything that exists on modern Earth will always have an equivalent in Prismatica, with the caveat that it is likely 80s-90s in aesthetic! Likewise, it is fine to assume that any businesses that exist on modern Earth exist in Prismatica.

PLAYER LOCATIONS ▶ For player-created locations, check out the Businesses page!

LUNATIA
▷top

The Capital City, Lunatia is a layered and elevated city consisting of four levels. It used to be a rotating city, but it stopped after the Calamity.

The levels have no ceilings except for Level 4, which is underground. Levels 1, 2 and 3 are named for how high they are built above the ground. Level 1 exists on a floating platform.

LEVEL 1

LEVEL 1
HIGHER LUNATIA | ▷top
The highest level of the city. This area contains higher-end establishments, including the HQs of the Moon Knights and Lunar Scientia. Across the area, there are extravagant display gardens and parks, with the Square being the center of it all. Transport and travel networks are amazingly handled. Roads are clean thanks to Swiffy bots — state-of-the-art service robots that ensure excellent service.

Luxurious apartments and townhouses are available here, but due to the prime location, they are incredibly expensive with matching high rise bills to pay. Renting spaces and hotel services are also available here. Most Prismals like to treat the upper levels as an indulgence more than a place to live in permanently.

Lunatia Square ⬤ The Square for short. The Main City's central square, which is what folks will see when they first come in. Think Times Square in NYC with better traffic or Shibuya Crossing in essence. Colorful shop stands surround the square, selling street food such as ice cream cones, crepes, or hotdogs but you can also find balloon or flower stands and so on. Time to time, street performances are done here.

Caelus Tower ⬤ The central tower where the brightest and largest crystals burst. The area around it is where the crystals manifest in energy surges and are converted for daily use. The tower is symbolic, built as a stunning monument, and serves as the most reliable source of Demichroma for Lunatia. In short, it functions as the city's power plant and lighthouse.

It's a landmark that reaches high above the atmosphere and if anyone were to reach the top, they'd be able to get a complete view of the city under the Crystaluna: a beautiful, glimmering orb that hovers above the city and on the highest point of the tower. This orb is a natural phenomenon tied to the Iris moon and was formerly used as access to it. It now only functions as the tower's most powerful energy and light source. The orb can't be physically destroyed as it's not solid; it's made of light energy.

The entire area has invisible barriers that keep others from being caught in extreme blasts of energy that could harm the city if not contained. The barriers have been in place for a long time — long enough to make it safe and to have a city flourish around it.

Crystarium Moonports ⬤ These busy ports allow entry into the city from the moons. Any newly arrived Moonblessed are flown in through the main branch located at the northernmost of Level 1. There are four moonports in each cardinal direction, at far distances from the main city. Each of these ports is guarded by Moon Knights. All ports are easily and quickly accessible by Prismanodes (See “What kinds of transportation exist in Prismatica?” under the Technology section in the FAQ).

Moon Knights Headquarters ⬤ A giant imposing cluster of buildings that houses the upper echelons of the Moon Knights. Their armory, barracks, training grounds, and Pegasi stables are here. While some areas are closed to the majority of the public, the open spaces offer a number of exhibitions including a timeline of the Moon Knights and a display area of their uniforms over time. Impressive statues of former Knight Captains watch over the fields and halls.

Lunar Scientia Headquarters ⬤ Known as the cradle of Prismatican knowledge, the Lunar Scientia headquarters has an extensive sprawling library, research centers, event spaces, learning facilities, and offices. New recruits are sent here for their interview and aptitude tests as if to get a glimpse of what they could access if they apply themselves. The bookstore here doubles as a cafe and serves the best coffee in Lunatia. One sip and you’ll be awake for days! Or so they say. Students from the nearby academy often come to study here.

Lunatia Academy ⬤ Education is compulsory for Prismaticans until the age of 16 where they are free to choose to either go into work or continue into higher education. The Lunatia Academy curriculum involves science, history, mathematics as well as art, music, and theater. The academy has an impressive high-end dormitory. The Moonblessed are free to enroll if they desire to continue pursuing or improving their education. (Refer to “Organizations” section in the FAQ for additional details)

Elaran Amphitheater ⬤ A giant arena that doubles as a sports and performance venue. Notable annual events held here include intergalactic traveling circuses, the year-end concert, hosted contests or conventions, and various e-sports tournaments like the League Match Action Online (LmaO) World Championships. The entire place is also capable of mechanically transforming into an amusement park.

PrismaPlace ⬤ One of the hottest spots in Lunatia. An upmarket street of illuminated shops, restaurants and facilities that offer only the best of Prismatica’s wares and entertainment. From the cutting edge in fashion to artisan dildos and the latest in technology; arcades, nightclubs, all-you-can-eat buffets, movie theaters, virtual reality buildings, skating rinks, golf courses, and much more. If you’re looking to shop or play, look no further.

As a Remooning gift (January 2020) from the Lunar Scientia Headquarters, the dedicated team from the Amphoria Room has released their latest perfected technology: Amphoria Pods. These VR Pods, which can fit up to four people at a time, have been set up in the gaming hub within PrismaPlace.

LEVEL 2

LEVEL 2
MIDDLE LUNATIA | ▷top
Due to the planet’s long and vibrant history, Levels 2 and 3 are melting pots of culture from all over Prismatica.

Level 2, the ground level of Lunatia, is a tranquil residential area with a good quality of life. The hospitals, community centers, bathhouses, hot springs, gyms, health restaurants, and similar industries are most excellent in service here. Small malls and quiet hangouts of varying traditions are here as well.

This is where the Moonblessed are initially designated to stay.

Greatmoon Groves ⬤ One of Lunatia’s most treasured places, thriving in plant life which provides clean air, vegetation, and food supply. Animals including livestock can be found living peacefully here too.

Each section of the groves belongs to existing families that handle them with great care. They welcome the public to their petting zoo, animal shelter (which allows adoptions), and hold farming, foraging, and camping seminars. Greenmarkets can be found here which sells organic ingredients, environment-friendly products, flowers, herbs, and so on.

Across the area, there are the crescent moon-shaped watchtowers. All of these are massive pillars are used by patrolling rangers and knights to make sure everything is in order. Forest fires are easily taken care of by the Swiffy bots.

In the middle of the Greatmoon Groves is the residence of the royal family. The Queen may occasionally be seen strolling around the castle gardens.

Crystal Beach ⬤ A large and lovely open beach, home to a stylish and cozy hotel resort. The resort is known for its grilled seafood. There are open fisheries where people are welcome to try fishing for themselves. The staff will gladly prepare and cook the fish for you while you play or relax. Volleyball, diving, and surfing are just some of the many sports you can participate in. You can even rent a hot air balloon.

This beach is a famous setting for various classic films and a popular venue for photoshoots. A Moonblessed might find themselves appearing as a cameo in someone’s film by coincidence. Great sunsets, great drinks, and great company, it’s a popular area for local celebrities and party-goers. Beautiful fireworks can be seen on special nights.

Prissy Polyp ⬤ A high-end boutique located at the border connecting Level 1 and 2. Their clothing collections are characterized by bright iridescent designs, some features such as design patterns may glow ethereally in the dark. All extra features can be turned on/off with the press of a neon button! Other available clothes and specific colors or patterns are up to player discretion as long as they fit within the theme.

LEVEL 3

LEVEL 3
LOWER LUNATIA | ▷top
Level 3 is a modest, well-maintained business zone that never sleeps. Smaller businesses, family-run or otherwise, and bustling residential apartments can be found here.

Its orderly appearance belie its open secret: the red light district. Brothels and soaplands lie beyond streets lined with shops of questionable business and repute. You wouldn’t want to walk alone here at night.

This area irregularly has skeevy characters roaming around. These are not limited to prison escapees, underground mafia, drug mules, sex traffickers, or black market vendors. Most will flee upon being spotted, though some will attempt to threaten or fight those in their way.

Mond Mart ⬤ Convenience store chain with several branches scattered throughout the city, but the most number of stores can be found here. Its sales are best in Level 3 due to the fast-paced lifestyles of those living in this area. Mond Mart commercials can be frequently seen or heard on the media. Their catchy jingle became an internet meme for a time.

Caihong ⬤ An incredibly vast and colorful district surrounded by water and small bridges. Koi fish travel through these waters. Intricate arcs and dragon statues stand tall before temples that glow a striking scarlet during full moons. Red buildings, bright lanterns, fortune cats, and the smell of dimsum, crispy duck, and mooncakes fill the streets. Traditional medicine, minor cantrips, and lucky talismans are sold here. The most powerful people in Caihong are the Umbris, a group that controls the district from the shadows.

Buwan’s S▷top ⬤ More known as the B.S. An entertainment stop with fast food restaurants, a fighting arena, and a casino. Run by a man with a slightly sketchy past: Buwan, who got sent to jail for fraud after rigging some arena matches. He swore he reformed after his release and claims that his business is all clean. Are you going to trust his word for it and bet on the latest show fights, purchase some lottery tickets, and gamble the night away? If you pay him enough money, he might also sell you drugs of questionable legality.

Water and Waste Station ⬤ This station oversee and closely monitor the circulation of water or waste pipes, pumping stations, and anything related to this concept. Many sewer entrances are found across the city, such as manholes, open pipes, or doors at appropriate government stations such as this one. Areas connected to Level 1 and 2 are more heavily guarded than the ones connected to Level 3 and 4. The sewers are all connected, so it is possible to go around from underground. However, it is trespassing to go through unauthorized.

The Outpost ⬤ A lookout point run by the Moon Knights. It serves as a checkpoint border to prevent those without clearance from wandering in and out of the Lightless. (Refer to “Organizations” section in the FAQ about access to the Lightless)

LEVEL 4

LEVEL 4
THE LIGHTLESS | ▷top
Only accessible through a long elevator, the Lightless received its name because it is an underground prison. Although the Moon Knights do what they can to maintain order, the criminals that are sent here are difficult to control. Prisoners of the Lightless join one of the several gangs and often fight over the level’s territories to secure power and a means of survival.

Some establishments are surprisingly decent, as some gangs are dedicated to helping their brothers and sisters start over and have a better life. However, most businesses and workings here are very self-serving. For those who are fixated in their dark lifestyles, they influence unfortunate others into falling deeper with them. It’s not difficult to locate motels with extreme and troubling offerings. Safety is not promised in this zone.

Energy supplies here are more controlled and blackouts are frequent. Whenever there are blackouts, the whole level goes under complete lockdown to prevent escapees.

The primary mode of transportation are aircars and smaller vehicles like skybikes, hoverboards and hoverskates. There are no Prismanodes in the Lightless.

Internment Facility ⬤ A reformation center for criminals. They have daily tasks (such as community service) and therapy sessions in hopes that they will be released into future society as better people.

Recycling Center ⬤ Where the city’s waste goes. Waste here is recycled then repurposed into new products. It’s primarily manned by those assigned from the internment facility. (See “What are the specifications of trash cans? How is the city waste handled?” under the Technology section in the FAQ for additional details)

Obscuria ⬤ A luxury resort and casino in the Lightless, notorious for being the favored hangout of many syndicates, especially Eclipse. There are dining tables with built-in roulettes, slot machines, poker tables, mahjong, and other addicting games available in the game area.

Crystal Fist Arena ⬤ Next to the hotel, one of the most infamous battlegrounds that attract the strongest fighters in the Lightless and their many syndicates.

OTHER CITIES

AMEGAHARA

AMEGAHARA
THE OASIS IN THE NOTHING | ▷top
A city located in the center of the Nothing: Amegahara is a lush oasis secured in a glowing bubble that separates and protects it from the harsh elements of the Nothing. The citizens here are known as the Conclave of Amegahara.

According to the historical scrolls, the protective bubble dates all the way back to the period just after the Calamity. It’s an ancient magical barrier created by the elder foxes to protect their land and their people from the Calamity’s effects. It seems that the reason for the Oracles of the Sinless existence is an internal dispute among the Amegaharans, leading them to split into two factions. The Sinless were not in favor of the barrier and would rather sacrifice others to their god for protection than preserve it as the Conclave of Amegahara is doing.

The cityscape is very beautiful and well-structured, paved with neon walkways and covered in traditional far eastern arcs and lanterns, which glow blue on the streets. For some reason, almost every street has at least one food stall or cafe selling doughnuts. They say it’s a local craze. Their leader is Lord Bairen, a large, muscular fox dressed in a kimono robe that barely covers his chest.

Glass is the chief medium used by artisans in Amegahara, featuring pearl glass works such as decorative walls, lovely vases, fish bowls, drinking glasses, and more. Other forms of artwork such as woodblock prints, calligraphy, and picture scrolls are also popular.

Access is permanently available from May 2020 onward. The Moonblessed may now purchase housing spaces or start businesses in Amegahara.

The Nothing ⬤ A blinding white expanse of barren desert, drained of any form of life. The Nothing has sweltering heat during the day and temperatures fall below 10 °C at night. These lifeless lands belie the dangers that lurk underground. Oversized sand serpents called whitesnakes thrive on the mineral deposits buried below the surface, so they are easily attracted to strong Chroma present.

As of May 2020, it was revealed there has been a sudden miraculous growth of plant life in the Nothing, astonishing the entire planet. Scientists at Amegahara have been hard at work testing the Nothing’s capacity to support life. They have determined that a constant and heavy flow of Chroma is required to maintain the baby ecosystem in the Nothing. Otherwise, the existing plant and animal life will die before reaching full growth. The Moonblessed are encouraged to support this endeavor.

Inari Highway ⬤ The route between the cities of Amegahara and Lunatia. Using the glass tunnels, attending Moonblessed can quickly and securely traverse the Nothing, as well as personally witness the impact of their Chroma through their stay so far on Prismatica.

The Inari Highway features comfortable travel time (maximum of two hours) and good security. It lets the Moon Knights deal with any potential threats in a more efficient manner.

Agedashi Flats ⬤ One of the many housing locations available. Each flat houses at least two persons. Furnitures include comfy futons and items made of pearl glass. The fish bowls are filled with goldfish and other mysterious aquatic creatures. Pressing your fingers against the glass will cause the little creatures within to change into vibrant colors which resonate the most with the person who touched it.

Each flat comes with a cute small crystallized fox guarding it. They will bite or yip at offenders who litter, cause damage, try to cook the aquatic creatures, or attempt to steal any of the glass furniture. But they can be befriended with some love! Doing so will cause them to follow you into every room with happy bounces (even the bathroom). They’ll even attack trespassers for you. Their favorite food is tofu.

Blue Moon Izakaya ⬤ A casual bar that serves the best karaage (deep-fried chicken) in the city. It's so popular, the waiting line extends outside! The queue normally lasts ten minutes, but the locals say it's worth it.

Amegahara Emporium ⬤ One of the best places to learn more about this city’s culture, history, and tradition. In the lobby, there are food and refreshment stalls specializing in local delicacies, such as rainbow trout and more of the local’s favorite doughnuts.

The second floor contains a glass workshop selling pearl glass items (such as those found at the housing) and allows customers to try out glassblowing themselves. Try making your own item or accessory together with a special someone!

On the third floor, there is a treasured reading archive. The language is difficult to decipher at first sight, appearing as runes magically scrawled onto the scrolls. However, touching the runes will activate holographic images, which will provide you with some visual aids appropriate for group learning.

LYESTELLUS

KINGDOM OF LYESTELLUS
the distant mountain kingdom | ▷top
Located on the highest mountain in Drasomnis, the snow-covered mountain range surrounding Lunatia. Ruled by King Shiryn Lyei Drastellus XIII, the Kingdom of Lyestellus is a thriving castletown controlled by powerful draconic beings who can turn humanoid at will.

Legends recorded amongst vast historical texts tell of the former sovereigns of the land, the dragons who came from the continent of Cydrania, and the sovereigns of the stars, dragons who came from the floating kingdom known as Celestdrania. During the Calamity, the dragons of Cydrania were forced to flee their home with the aid of the Celestdrania dragons. The remaining dragons shared what knowledge they could of the old world with the Prismal refugees (the first people of what we now know as Lunatia) to preserve their memories, though much of it still remains lost or confined to the minds of the most ancient dragon brood, living among the stars. The location of Celestdrania is currently unknown to this day. While Cydrania remains uninhabitable, the descendants of the dragons of the land continue to live in the mountain range surrounding Lunatia, now known in the present world as Drasomnis.

Flowers are an important part of dragon culture and many continue to cultivate and protect them with their lives. Notable flora include Drastelle blossoms that grant draconic blessings and dragonfruit which grow on the bushes near its natural mountain hot springs and are now known to have certain side effects. It is also the natural location of the Euphemia plant, a wildflower found only in the deepest parts of the mountains and guarded by dragons.

The kingdom is famous for its Dragonfang Wine, a luxurious drink pressed from the fragrant wildflowers and aged in barrels of wood found only on the mountaintops of Drasomnis. The wine itself is a vibrant violet with a rich scent the locals describe as heavenly. It is traditionally served during special occasions.

Access is permanently available from June 2020 onward. The Moonblessed may now purchase housing spaces or start businesses in Lyestellus.

DraCometae Skyway ⬤ Referred to as "The Comet" for short. The skyway connecting Lyestellus and Lunatia. It is the completed project result of the labor exchange program symbolizing the alliance between these two cities. It provides an easy, scenic travel to the Drasomnis mountains. From Lunatia, one can ride a train to the snowy mountain’s base and ascend in a lift to reach the dragon kingdom.

Moonlight Inn and Bathhouse ⬤ The national inn prides itself in their unique bubble-shaped dwellings surrounding a breathtaking mountain springs known to have mysterious effects during the evenings. Bathing in the springs during the day provides great relief, especially to any hardworking person. It has restorative properties that accelerate healing and the relaxing experience paired with gorgeous views can reduce stress and anxiety. The Lyestellus locals consider it as one of their treasures and will encourage all their guests to bathe in them at least once.

Starsong Symphony ⬤ You haven't heard true music unless you've heard a performance in these halls. The S.S.S. has been host to the performance and evolution of styles over generations. Nobles and commoners alike are welcome to host their performances at the symphony and the yearly Starsong Orchestra is an event to remember!

Skylight Exchange ⬤ A long, colorful shopping strip where many shining food and crafts are created and sold. The dragons are easily attracted by shining objects or materials, so it's in their culture to eat, display, or collect shiny dishes, trinkets, or decorative pieces around their architectures or living spaces. Various market stalls circle around the center known as the Flowerlight Fountains, which is a natural phenomenon where flowers color the waters and rise out of the ground in streams. People often come by here to see what flowers emerge in their presence. Will it be a flower with a lucky meaning or a worrying fortune? Nevertheless, it's a spectacle to watch.

OUTSIDE LUNATIA
▷top

Outside the city areas, little civilization exists apart from small towns or villages. Uninhabited mountains, unexplored oceans, and dense forests fill the continent on which Lunatia exists. Further beyond is crystallized wilderness; no Prismal would normally travel so far.

As one travels further and further from Lunatia, the environment drains more and more Chroma. Travel is best done in pairs and groups, if done at all. As these areas remain largely unknown, it’s not advised to head out beyond safe areas. Locals warn of huge shadows and inhuman howls.

These areas will be explored in future events! Refer to "What is the planet of Prismatica like?" under Settings section in the FAQ for more details.

Solemn Grounds ⬤ A sacred cemetery that serves as the final resting place of the deceased. When Prismals die, their bodies crystallize (much like how Moonblessed do!) and their graves are sent to this holy crystalline site. It is a vast area that can be described as a forest of crystal formations. Mining this area for Demichroma is against the law, and the penalty for this crime is incredibly harsh. Characters can certainly learn of the Solemn Grounds from books and the Prismals themselves, but it is generally off-limits to the public outside of special occasions. It will only become accessible during specific events.

Port Sylvel ⬤ Located to the west of Lunatia, Port Sylvel was a known shipping and freight destination. Currently, it is hardly recognizable as crystal formations encase buildings. What was once an idyllic coastal town is now a site of tragic beauty as a result of King Majestas's attack. Most of the population has passed on and their crystal remains have either been moved to the Solemn Grounds or buried at Port Sylvel's small local graveyard. Few survived, among them are the hospital patients who were sent to Lunatia to recover prior to the attack.

OUTER SPACE
▷top

Moon Government Centers ⬤ One center is located on each of the three moons. All three centers look uniform and have the same layout. They are simply addressed as moon bases. The moon bases are compact but has the feel of a small city. They serve as base of space operations for the government of Lunatia. The outside appearance is regal and each one holds its own unique aura. Perhaps an influence of the respective moons they're on.

Each base is divided into different parts: laboratory, maintenance bay, security bay, medical bay, living quarters, cafeteria, mech bay and docks, cargo and storage, reactor, greenhouse, water and waste processing, command center, gym, showers, and a recreation bay.

The Glory ⬤ An excavation site near the Iris moon base: an enormous hole known as the Glory. The scientists have been excavating this site carefully for years, searching for a legendary ancient tomb sleeping within. Eventually, they successfully discover Fallen Queen Tempeste's chambers. The dark corridors are long and labyrinthine, their stone walls lined with various chambers that serve as temples or treasure rooms. Many a reckless grave robber have fallen victim to the vicious traps within.

Tower of WhispersThe tower is the largest and most well-preserved locations from the excavations, composed of spiral staircases and seashell designs. Its walls and columns filled from top to bottom with shelves upon shelves of old-world scrolls containing information about ancient Prismals. Little is known about the language used here, so like the machine translations of the Glory’s ruins, the texts remain largely indecipherable. These will be deciphered by the Prismals in future events.

The Prismals warn the Moonblessed that the tower is haunted; they say if you close your eyes and listen to the silence of the tower, you will hear whispers of the ancients, unintelligible to Moonblessed and Prismal alike… For those daring enough to explore, you sense something amiss. A shiver runs down the back of your neck. A chill passes through your spine. Good thing you have the Lunar Scientia’s librarian droids to keep you company —- they will watch over and protect the archives, quick to ward off any theft or anyone mishandling the ancient scrolls.

Lunatian Archives ⬤ A popular subject for photographers, the Lunatian Archives is famous for its minimalist architecture: a floating white cube whose walls perfectly reflect the Iris moon’s light. Old world manuscripts and tapestries depicting various beasts and legendary battles from after the Calamity are proudly displayed in several exhibit halls. The museum is filled with scintillating artifacts from Amegahara, Dystelle and beyond.
