▶ HIATUS
DURATION ▶ Players can be on hiatus for up to a month and must message the mods for any extenuating circumstances.
EXEMPTION ▶ Players who were on hiatus for two weeks or more will be exempt from that month's activity check. The AC exemption will count for the month that the hiatus is longest in. See the examples in the OOC announcement here for more details.
RETROACTIVE HIATUSES? ▶ Hiatuses cannot be declared retroactively.
HOW HIATUSES WORK IN-GAME ▶ Characters can either go on auto-pilot or enter into stasis and be crystallized until you're ready to return. Loved ones can visit the characters in stasis and view their bodies on display in a gallery with nice, tranquil music playing. Lore-wise, the character is returned to their world to reset and/or stabilize their Chroma reserves.

▶ CANON UPDATES
HOW CANON UPDATES WORK IN-GAME ▶ Characters going on a canon update will have an IC three-day waiting period before they can return to the game. They are sent back because the amount of Chroma they're providing is waning no matter what they do, so they need to be repaired and often times grow older, stronger, or undergo some new trials to return fit to provide Chroma once more. ICly, this is only known as one theory. (Refer to "What happens to my character if I drop?" under Mechanics section in FAQ for details)
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? ▶ Please provide a very brief synopsis of important updates regarding your character, such as they aged up, gained new powers, became an eldritch entity, etc. make your write-ups brief! We do not require the whole story word per word. We only want to read a summary focusing on the character's important developments and changes.
WHEN WILL YOU PROCESS MY CANON UPDATE? ▶ Allow up to two weeks for processing. Similar to our apps process, we go through submissions according to what's easiest. Please wait at least two weeks before sending us a message.
UPDATING ABILITIES ▶ Please use the Canon Update form to update your list of canon abilities, spells, pets, summons, etc. Please do not write these abilities like literal game descriptions. (e.g. Lysanderoth's gun has +600 ATK and a 60% chance to stun.) A brief description with a link to the wiki is enough! However, please note any world-breaking abilities that might need to be nerfed. (i.e. My character is a white mage, so they specialize in healing magic! List of spells here. They also have a world-breaking So-and-so Spell, which will be nerfed upon their arrival.)
UPDATING YOUR INVENTORY ▶ If you would like to update their inventory to match the canon update, please make a note of the details and which items will be exchanged.
OPEN INVENTORY SLOTS ▶ If your character returns to their world for a canon update and they were apped with open inventory slots, they may fill up their open slots with new items and bring those back with them. Please make a note on their canon update form about which items they will coming with.
INJURIES ▶ If your character has injuries or needs medical attention upon returning, the character may either arrive fully healed or still injured. If they arrive injured, they have the option to allow scientists from Lunar Scientia to heal their injuries right away.
CAN I UPDATE TO CRAU? ▶ You can canon update a character to CRAU (i.e. update them with memories from a different game) only ONCE. After that, CRAU characters are only allowed to canon update canon information.
